It was hugely sunny that day in Kearney, and it got very windy as the day wore on. I wish I'd done a better job of keeping track of who everyone was--this couple's name escapes me, now.
This is Jamie Vesay, the Producer of the shoot. Jamie had a real easy way about him, was super-nice to everyone and did a lot to keep our enthusiasm levels high throughout the day-long shoot. If anyone had any questions or problems, he was there with answers and alternatives. He was great to work with. Here, he's holding envelopes with fifty Nebraska Lottery Scratch Game tickets for each of us. I thought it appropriate to let "Fate" choose mine.
This is Jeff Brooks, pilot with SilverHawk Aviation in Lincoln, getting touched-up by makeup artist "Shelly". We all had quite a chuckle as she did his forehead (which goes way up to here). Then, she did the same for Fate, whose forehead goes even further! That's Fate, at left, with his back to the camera.
This is Fate getting touched-up by Shelly, who was "due" in November, 2001. She even made me look goodish. I awoke the morning of the shoot to find my first pimple since Prom Night, proudly holding court on my chin.
