Fate, Me, Steve the Director, Camera Crew, Jamie and the NELottery Lady

I'm really sorry this photo is so dark. I know what did it--it's that it was shot into the reflectors! I'll see if I can't brush-up on my Photoshop skills and make it a little easier to see. Anyway, at the far left, you see Fate, holding the microphone. Just above his forehead is me, eyeing the potato[e] chip basket. That's Steve Thiesfeld in front of one of the reflectors. He was the Director for shoot, and did a great job of mixing-up a variety of angles and background action ("I want milling and shifting back here... More Frisbee! Someone come and get a hot dog!" I'm sorry now that I never did get the camera man's name. We were shooting on real film that day. It's flown to a lab in Chicago (where Joe "Fate" Janes is from), digitized and then flown back to Omaha, where Great Plains does the editing, drops in the various graphics from the Lottery and packages everything for broadcast or print use. That's Jamie Vesay in the cap, again, and the woman with the camera is with the Nebraska Lottery Commission. Note the Indian TeePee, beyond the closed road. The chips were real, as were the burgers and the hot dogs. The chicken you see isn't really barbecued, it's been painted to look barbecued! They last longer that way, in the increasingly-hot sun.

Family Portrait - So Many Winners!

Here's our first Family Portrait, with all of us reciting the Scratch Game motto: So Many Winners!

Director Steve Interviewing Me & My Pet Tummy

This is me at a sort of pre-interview with Steve Thiesfeld, the Director. Notice that Steve, Jamie, the Producer and the Nebraska Lottery Lady (all off-camera for today's shoot) could keep their jackets on! In the background: Real chips and Simulated Chicken!

Bill & Pam

This is Bill Marhenke and Pam Schindler, from Data Source Media in Lincoln. I wish I owned some Hawaiian shirts like this one.

Costume Change!

Pam and Bill again, during Costume Change. All of the women did that sexy put-the-shirt-on-over-what-you're-wearing, take-off-the-under-thing-without-showing-anything maneuver when changing into the Scratch Winner T-shirts. We guys just changed shirts.
